Come share your experiences, stories, questions, and what you have learned in a safe, non-commercial environment. We seek to understand the state-of-the market, understand what companies have done that has or has not worked, documenting questions that MESA and the community can help answer. Overall, the goal is to accelerate each participant’s learning and progress toward Smart Manufacturing.
Topic: Digital Twin / Digital Thread Models that Matter: The Purpose of Multi-Threaded Models
In the context of digital twin and digital thread technologies, the term "multi-threaded models" does not refer to parallel processing or multi-threading in the traditional sense of computer science. Instead, it's a concept related to the organization and management of data and information in these DTDT Models. Multi-threaded models are essential for managing the complexity of modern products and systems. These systems often involve various components, each with its own data and lifecycle information. Multi-threading allows for the simultaneous management of these diverse data streams and the development of these models getting away from simple or linear processing to management of multiple connected data flows from various models that could represent Quality data models, Product data models, Equipment data models, Performance data models, Connected worker data models etc.
