We seek to understand the state of the market, understand what companies have done that has or has not worked, documenting questions that MESA and the community can help answer. Overall, the goal is to accelerate each participant’s learning and progress toward Smart Manufacturing. 

Topic: OT Security in a Smart Connected Factory

Industry 4.0, and IIOT, require vertical integration if the IT/OT layers.  While this supports the goals of these initiatives, and enables many new use cases through the more integrated, near real-time view of factory performance, it also opens doors that can, potentially, be exploited through access of the OT layer by bad actors.  How can we open the OT layer to support these goals while continuing to secure that layer to prevent malicious activities?

Questions to be discussed include:
