Topic:  Pragmatic Considerations for Revamping Supply Chains

What do you need to keep in view as the company considers improving or revamping its supply chain? Supply chain organizations and ecosystems have typically evolved over years, and are tightly intertwined. Last year, we discussed whether to transform or optimize your supply chain. Perhaps you are doing one or the other or both. In any case, to get beyond theory and into actual practice for this:

• What are the key factors you are considering changing? Why are they foremost?
• How much of your work is on people and mindsets? How much on changing processes?
• What role does technology play? Is that changing also? Does new technology trigger additional changes?
• How can you keep what is working well and change what needs improvement?
• What are the crucial factors to keep products and materials moving while you undergo supply chain changes?
• What has worked well? What obstacles remain?
• What approach are you taking to program and project management to ensure good outcomes?
