MESA UK SIG - Energy and Sustainability face-to-face meeting

MESA UK SIG - Energy and Sustainability face-to-face meeting

Thursday, March 2, 2023 (9:30 AM - 4:00 PM) (GMT)

Description

Whether you are concerned with recent hikes in energy prices, or you just wish your operation to be good for the environment, we explore how visibility and control of energy consumption can be brought into manufacturing, such as automated equipment sleep state transitions, and benefits from energy consumption strategies, planning and smoothing. Driving human behavior change, with real time energy intensity feedback, both for management and on the shop floor, is a key digital goal too. Additionally, we look at sustainability in the circular economy, specifically related to opportunities and examples that drive business success, all of which help meet your GREEN goals, while supporting profitability

About This Event:
At this event, we bring together experts in the field of energy management and sustainability in manufacturing to answer questions about how UK manufacturing can rise above current challenges of energy price inflation, providing visibility and control of energy consumption and the elimination of waste. We explore and discuss how UK manufacturing can become more sustainable.

Several presentations will focus on the challenges and methods that are available, with plenty of opportunity for discussion and questions. Together, we make a way forward for positive actions that address current challenges.

What You Will Learn:
Specific techniques and methods to discover energy saving opportunities, controlling of sleep states that may be possible within machines and detailing the conversations to be had with equipment vendors and solution providers. We will also explore the larger topic of sustainability from both a business and environmental perspective, with specific take-aways aimed at helping your business using the MESA model and associated tools.

Who Should Join:
This event is suitable for management, engineering and IT from C-Level to production and engineering management, who are involved or affected by energy and sustainability concerns and need to take actions that contribute to the continued success of operations.

About MESA:
MESA continues to be the industry’s number one source of ‘crowd sourced’ impartial advice around Smart Manufacturing Digital Transformation and Industry 4.0. The ‘not for profit’ Manufacturing Enterprise Solutions Association (MESA) has a unique environment where impartiality means that there is no sales pitch, only sharing of ideas and advice from Smart Manufacturing thought leaders from all major industries.

About This Program:

This is the first event of an exciting new program in 2023, exclusive to the UK, that brings into focus the daily challenges faced by manufacturing in the UK with ideas for remedies and solutions being shared and discussed. At each event, a number of presentations covering different perspectives of solution approaches within the industry will be made together with round-table discussions of how the MESA Manufacturing Model helps the planning and execution of projects plus an open forum for discussion and networking.
